...a cold wind was blowing in off the sea, and shafts of sunlight were piercing the clouds here and there giving hope that sun would follow the rain across the Summer Isles.
A very well observed and captured image landscape with heaps of drama and appeal Dougie...
Lovely dramatic image, it looks a long cold road to Auchilitibie. We used to visit the hydroponicum whenever we we were up that way, not sur if it is still there though
It's still there Ann.
Bleak expanse and in mono !!!! Dougie.
That's a big dark forboding sky Dougie. Time for the pub methinks.
You are the featured upload as I type this Dougie.
Just as well you never took Danny's advice and went to the pub then !!
Dramatic image!! Super composition!!
This really portrays the essence of this area Dougie and I love that hint of sunshine trying to get through to light up the landscape.
Certainly looks a long road with this mood Dougie
It looks a long and not often used road into town. Very dramatic image.
What a sky!
The track leads unerringly to the best of the weather, which is perfectly positioned.
Impressively bleak, excellent in mono.
Great mono treatment Dougie that really portrays that dramatic sky. It was a bit more summer like when I was up a few weeks ago
All that sky bearing down on one little community. The road leading there like an arrowhead. It's enough to induce a persecution complex.
Fabulously moody, menacing.
The wind blowing does give hope of clearer skies, Dougie. I hope you were heading away from this particular darkness, not towards it.
Lovely !!!!......that 'Dougie' sky really adds the 'oomph' !!
Ooooh... luvvly jubbly, Dougie.
A beautiful part of the country Dougie. A very threatening sky, like those rays coming down in the distance.
My brother's pal lives very near here - he is a smithy, and I think he makes decorative things from metal. Moira
...and not a cloud in the sky when I was there on Saturday. But this is much more dramatic and beautiful.
Moody and lovely, Ann. P.S. Have now attached my remote control firmly to my camera strap and go forward with more confidence!! Ann.
Did some sailing here in lovely weather and visited Tanneramore (sp?) ! Love your thundery capture ! Thanks for comment today - when I have time can edit out the support boat ! G
