...a cold wind was blowing in off the sea, and shafts of sunlight were piercing the clouds here and there giving hope that sun would follow the rain across the Summer Isles.

Lovely dramatic image, it looks a long cold road to Auchilitibie. We used to visit the hydroponicum whenever we we were up that way, not sur if it is still there though

That's a big dark forboding sky Dougie. Time for the pub methinks.

This really portrays the essence of this area Dougie and I love that hint of sunshine trying to get through to light up the landscape.

It looks a long and not often used road into town. Very dramatic image.

The track leads unerringly to the best of the weather, which is perfectly positioned.

Great mono treatment Dougie that really portrays that dramatic sky. It was a bit more summer like when I was up a few weeks ago Smile

All that sky bearing down on one little community. The road leading there like an arrowhead. It's enough to induce a persecution complex.
Fabulously moody, menacing.

The wind blowing does give hope of clearer skies, Dougie. I hope you were heading away from this particular darkness, not towards it.

A beautiful part of the country Dougie. A very threatening sky, like those rays coming down in the distance.
My brother's pal lives very near here - he is a smithy, and I think he makes decorative things from metal. Moira

...and not a cloud in the sky when I was there on Saturday. But this is much more dramatic and beautiful.
