Obviously looking back over your shoulder can get great results!

That old 180deg. trick does it again!
Refreshingly different composition, and you look to have controlled the contrast well...I'm wondering if it's one of those HDR thingys?

No straight shot Alan, but I pulled the highlights way back in Camera raw and then lifted the contrast in PShop that also brought some detail back in the sky.

I think a book could be written on the fine photographs that have been captured as a result of a look back over the shoulder! A thoughtfully composed, natural image, Dougie, that portrays autumn's "hangers-on" so well. I like the way you've ensured that the overhanging branch does not obscure the reflected peaks of the hills.

Interestingly balanced composition, leaves both up and down: most agreeable. And impossible in summer!

Looking over my shoulder and seeing that would make me want to linger a while more, Dougie. Beautiful last memory of the day.

Looking over the tree's shoulder too, it seems to be gazing in the same direction.

How gratifying to find this - I like the framing with those autumnal branches Dougie.

Really nice Dougie. I like the composition with the branches framing the distant trees.
