...even a mountain ridge that is 2437 feet high is dwarfed by this huge cloud towering above. I spent a week looking at the different weather and clouds across the bay here at Ardmair, just North of Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands.
Sharp eyes may spot a line of camper vans which in turn are dwarfed by the mountain and the cloud.

Both beautiful and dramatic, and so very well captured Dougie...

A big sky Dougie adding drama to the scene by hiding the top of the mountain. A beautiful scene.

Wonderful light on the vertical cliff face. I'm sure I could spend a week watching it change there.
I was about to quote 'the lonely sea and the sky' when I noticed the camper vans Blush

A dramatic shot Dougie with that cloud.
And I indeed have sharp eyes.
The camper van fourth from left has an out of date tax disc on it !!

Well portrayed Dougie and you did so well as to not let the vehicles spoil the shoot.

It looks as though the cloud on the right is crashing down onto the land, like a massive wave breaking.

A lovely place for those camper vans to holiday. Maybe some were photographers who also captured this beautiful scene......Sandy

Majestic with the powerful clouds making the mountain tiny

Dramatic indeed, Dougie, Nature showing off.
Reminds me of some very low cloud/mountain combinations we experienced on the west coast of Norway last year...when warmth meets cold and provides us with a spectacular show.

What a sky, what a landscape! Love it because it is so different, such a different angle. Ann.

What a sense of scale! I love that patch of light above the row of campers... another of those details that really punches above its weight and makes all the difference.

Thanks Alan, always nice when other photographers spot the little things that make an image work.

A big landscape but an even bigger sky: interesting composition, Dougie.
