...a REPOST from February 2007. I recall standing here for some time waiting for the light to hit the fg and Black Mount, for company I had the cracking of the ice and the occasional rustle of a bitingly cold wind.
A superb shot.
Can't beat a good old'un, Dougie
All those rocks seem to be looking towards the horizon too, and waiting.
She's a beauty Dougie.
Well worth a repost!
All the best
lovely crisp white snow to go with the lovely blue sky. as always a good comp.very nice.lesley
Oh they were Moira, you can't see it here but in the original there is snow blowing off the ridge to the left of Black Mount.
Lost for words Dougie ! Superb !!!!!!!!!!!1
Lovely classic winter landscape.
Great sky, nice shot
Like your composition and the light on the foreground was well worth waiting for - Fine capture of the great landscape.
Excellent shot Dougie with beautiful clarity. This is what it's all about. The landscape that you love in all of it's glory. I don't think I'm going to see a better landscape image today, so please accept my user award. I'm only on E2 for a week - so there won't be many of these!
Lovely shot Dougie. Really like the warmth of the foreground colours against the cold of everything else. Well worth seeing again.
I'll enjoy it Andy and I hope you enjoy the experience of the larger images, maybe you can find the cash to join E2 I know it's hard just now for all of us.
As great as ever

If it's hard for you just think how difficult it is for the rest of us poor paupers, however something like this stands good little or large. Outstandingly beautiful. Watch how you go tomorrow night.
The guy's retired when they built your conservatory Danny, your now a double glazed pauper, my double vision tomorrow night is me trying to keep up with the Brannigans.
Please don't mention my title.
Aw ra best Pal.
The Man of the winter shots at his best!!!

Lovely image, Dougie.
THE classic winter landscape! Superb.
Fantastic image Dougie. The light captured and clarity are first rate. Your best shots ( and IMo this is one of them ) really make you feel as if you could step into the image.
Somehow, the rocks in the fg seem to be a reflection of the Mounts on the horizon. Absolutely brilliant image Dougie.
It's a stunner Dougie. And not a burger van in sight.....lol.
That's a wonderful winter scene.
HNY Dougie - Thanks for all your support in 2009
Lang mae yer lumb reek.
Spotted your comment on Danny's shot - made me smile as it was always my Mum's favourite new year greeting
Beautiful winter scene Dougie. May the light be with you in 2010
A beautiful landscape Dougie - It probably looks much the same today - lots of snow in Inverness, I just hope I can dig the car out. All the best for 2010.
Lovely shot...wonderful feeling of distance.
