Polariser only and lightened in ps no warm up.
Very good version of the classic shot
Gorgeous, it would make a beautiful Christmas card. Nice shot & Merry Christmas!
Brrr. Really nice shot.
Marvellous shot, Douglas - well done.
Nice wintery scene.
Just had a look at your portfolio - interesting to compare it to the non-snowy version. This is an absolute winner.
This is a wonderful image. great atmosphere
That looks cold! Great shot -lovely light.
I know its probably the most photographed cottage in the UK but its an excellent shot (and much better than Charles Kennedy's Christmas card!).
It looks a little bit unsharp, especially on the foreground rock, but the image is excellent. Exposure is spot on.
Beautiful image, well done.
Well composed, and an amazing view.
This is absolutely enchanting, Douglas. If it were a Christmas card I'd buy it without a second thought.
Can't add anything to what has already been said. Beautiful.
Lovely shot, composition and detail are excellent
Lovely shot Douglas, must be the shot of the day...the snow sliding of the roof gives it an different look...I think you now have the edge on us all for the post of resident Blackrock photographer, lol...nice meeting you at this site, have a good week.
PS. Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and yours.
Gtreat picture postcard scene!
This is one of the best shots of Blackrock I have seen. As I was there yesterday, I am kicking myself for not getting to it before the best light had gone. I guess I got too tied up at some of the other locations en route. The conditions were just so good yesterday and you have really done the lighting justice. Well done
This is an absolute stunner of one of many a persons favorite scenes.
Think you got a deckchair with your name on it set up there Dougie!
Fabulous shot, no more, no less.
You may not be aware but the card from Charlie was put out by the Press Association as a cottage near Inverness...Yes Right!!! where is the Watford Gap???
They all dont give a ****about Scotland.
To all for their comments...Thanks I was lucky to be there at the right time and see the light the way I did. It's all abou timimg and seeing. I don't have a deck chair at Blackrock that wold be too comfortable.
Stunning image Dougie.
Superb, absolutely superb. K.
Excellent. Its a change to see it in the snow
What can I say?? Its wonderful.
God i wish i lived up there
Another great shot Douglas! Brilliant image.
My favourite version of Blackrock cottage. Although I've been here numerous times, I've never got a shot of it, let alone a stunner like this.
second guessing when the light is on the cottage is one thing second guessing all three points is pure luck. Only gamblers would have a system, mine is a secret.
Keep trying, good luck and All the best
What a fabulous shot! Really cozy cottage and gorgeous landscape!
great composition and lovely light
