Difficult to choose between the two, Dougie, but the colour of the sea is so worth seeing in this version, and that small patch of yellow lichens on the rock adds a nice counterpoint.
Ronnie.

This definitely needs to be in color. The wonderful nuances of tones in the clouds and sea are lost in the mono.

I'm loving the aqua colour, it's great foil for the darker colours Dougie!

"Squall is such beautiful and yet so very underused word in which to describe weather conditions" Squall however make for stunning photographs Dougie...

A fine sky and good details in the foreground with a good squall to view in the far distance

Intriguing composition. The squall is balanced by the patch of lichen. That's class!

Bill

Eenie meenie miney mo...
The b&w (which I missed) is more about the foreground textures, this is more about the water and sky for me. Like both equally.
I've added a reply about the colour version of my upload, no, it doesn't work...

Definitely, definitely the colour Dougie - it's that Hebridean light, so it has to be shown off in its full glory! Smile I did like the mono, but this has me circling around the ceiling at high speed (if you know what I mean!) SmileSmile

I was quite pleased myself when I processed this one and realised what I had missed earlier. The power of a reassessment of your images after the first flush of happiness.
