...my drive yesterday took me eventually to Glen Orchy off the A82 and the falls had good water but not a lot of light. I found detail intriguing in the drier rocks overlooking the falls. The work of millions of years of water thundering down and carving the stone.

An incomprehensible time scale that lends a certain perspective to ones concerns.
Ended up providing you with a good photo though!

Certainly some years of time in those patterns Dougie.

Excellent Dougie. Well seen and grows on you with the looking.

As old as the hills . . .
Excellent study, Dougie, might just make an excellent monochrome too.

Like an aerial photo of a barren landscape.

If you can see the ''eye'' at the top left corner here Dougie,
it could be an elephant !!
Interesting shot.

This ancient geology makes an excellent image in your hands.

If only rocks could speak, but of course to geologists they do: yes, it was dull all day yesterday here too but it suited some images of the daffodils I took in PCP.
These rocks make interesting subjects in their own right.......it's just a matter of 'seeing' them in the first place and realising the potential.

Beautiful shapes and lovely subtle colours Dougie.

I like the subtle colours here Dougie as well as the shapes made by the erosion.
