...A decent amount of water flowing here, you couldn't hear a thing though and a photog walked up and I about jumped out of my skin.
I wish I could show you this 4 foot wide the detail is tremendous.

Last time I saw these falls they were in full spate, & incredibly noisy.......communication was by sign language !!.GrinGrin

Looks like a good place to be. I hope that rock wasn't slippery... I've been down with a bump more than once in places like that!

Not sloppy this time Alan, but it can be treacherous.

That's a remarkable river bed and falls, Dougie, and I do wish I could see it much larger to really appreciate the detail your Alpha 7 has recorded: and once again, you have shown that the winter colours, even under a dull overcast, can be so attractive. And I see that the river is on two levels here with small side falls connecting down from the upper.
I don't think I have ever been to this stretch of the Orchy........must try and get there this year.

Looking through the strata of ages, worn away by water.

The detail in the small-screen version is pretty impressive, Dougie.
I like your use of perspective here: the distant peak does not dominate the wonderful foreground yet never relinquishes control.

I wouldn't want to fall in that water. But it's lovely to look at the ruggedness of the scene.

Those sculpted rocks are wonderful. Must pay a visit again. It's hard to turn off the A82 when northbound!
