The contrast between the brightly coloured foxgloves in the foreground and the dark, foreboding mountain make this a very appealing shot.

Persistent blighters, aren't they!
A bit like the cherry on the icing on the cake of this already fine composition.

Lovely f/g colours & leaf patterns, & light & shade on the mountain.
At least you saw some sunlight - back from few days in Trossachs - rain, rain, rain....

I like the way you've used portrait to balance the flowers' height against the view. They're very characterful flowers - I have a view of them with Dungeness Nuclear Power Station to upload some time.

The splash of deep pink in the foreground sets the view behind so beautifully Dougie, and that mist on the peak is the icing on the cake literally Smile

Colourful FG interest, a lovely triangular rock and river formation in the midground and a dramatic backdrop. A great composition!
I wonder if a longer exposure to get more flow in the water would have helped emphasise the midground triangle even more? A trifling suggestion only.

I'm not one for milky water All, and a longer exposure would have had the foxgloves nodding in the breeze.

Like your comment above !A fantastic composition and also love the foxgloves and clingy cloud. No chance of a dry river bed here ! GillWink
