...just my favourite place in Scotland. Lochan na h'Achlaise on Rannoch Moor. The frost was quite hard when I arrived, bitterly cold. Met up with friend & tremendous photographer Paul Holloway, a great morning.
***I think I got the lid back on tight Moira.***
Smashing stuff Dougie love the "warm" and "cool" colour contrast!
Wow! Stunning photograph... What more can you ask for?
Some amazing colours and a fantastic sky.
Looks like you got a beautiful morning. Tremendous image from a beautiful part of Scotland
A great sky and the foreground frost are great
Great colours here Dougie.
Ye gods, this is cold. Stunningly beautiful but please hang onto it for a few weeks yet.
A beautiful composition, Dougie, and all the more effective for the colour juxtaposition of the complimentary warm oranges against those cool blues!
Best shot of the day for me Doug.Top quality.
Top quality shot Dougie. Superb work.
It was a great morning which you've more than done justice with this fine image, Dougie. Good to meet you at last, I reckon we must have passed each other on the A82 many a time.
top shot, Dougie!
I bet YOU like Mondays too
A superb shot. The blue/orange colour contrast works a treat and there's interest throughout the image. A quality photo.
Love this, the frosty cold blue tones and the lovely golden glow on the mountains, and a great frosty foregound, not too mention the clouds... Its got everything. Cracking image...
Thanks Mark, very kind, it was cold for sure I'm still cold at home.
Fabulous vertical triptych cold - warm - cold. Little bobbles of cloud to match the curly tops of the grasses. Tip-top.
You are certainly on a roll at the moment my friend and you are producing outstanding images, this one being no exception.
This is a stunner, Dougie
I love the light on the distant mountains.
Dougie, was there back in February and we couldn't even see the island let alone the tree for fog and rain. A first class image.
Great quality work,lovely sky,fantastic shot...wonderful place
What a beautifully captured image Dougie. Love the frost and the warm light. It was the coldest this morning of my two weeks in Scotland.. was minus 4 at 9am so heaven knows what it was earlier!
Sorry we missed you on Saturday... maybe next time.
This defies superlatives, Dougie. A joy to view again and again.
As above Dougie, would love to see this myself. Tremendous image. Ron.
Wow, this looks cold indeed - but there was the sun coming up and lighting the hills. Wonderful contrast in light - the icy darkness in the fg and the orange sun on the hills. Superb!
Stunning work Dougie, this is superb
Hi Dougie - have a look at V2 on my upload today. That's for you!
That sure is a sight to behold Dougie, such beautiful scenery captured perfectly by you!
just a wonderful image Dougie
Beautifully captured.Really like the light on the hill, the reflections, the frosty grass & the perfectly placed tree...Great work!
Fully understand why this place is one of your faves places....as mentioned the warm contrast of Black Mount and the blues of the Lochan are sublime
Tis a beauty Dougie.
A real corker this Dougie and the frost just makes it for me
Wow - winter has arrived for you. No signs of frost here yet. Perfect placement of elements and a great sky as well. Lovely - you really are on a roll at the moment.
Cheers Claire always good to hear that from a friend with talent. It's been a remarkable few weeks for sure.
Fantastic! I love how the warm light on the mountains play with cool shadows. And clouds are one of the kind!
Nice shot Doug, great patterns in that sky!
Lovely foreground details and great sky too complement it too.
So many people are afraid to keep their images blue, I'm a great fan of blue skies, no matter what time of day, this is wonderful Dougie.
