...the River Lyon near Innerwick. This Glen is steeped in the history of Scotland for many reasons.
Fishing season has just opened, trot a maggot down this !! ( probably private and only for Trout anglers ?) Excellent balance Dougie.

I think I would try panning for gold in this water...
What a wonferful bright image
Like the good balance in this comp Dougie, nicely worked
An extremely good landscape photograph, full of natural colour, detail, and lighting
WOW...what an image!!! The light, colour and dramatic sweeping composition...
...utterly fantastic shot
Never having been there I have no idea where you might be positioned for this fine portrait landscape, Dougie: can't help feeling it may have been a 'green welly' day.
Beautifully crafted image from this historic and scenic Glen.
Great image, Lovely view
Sumptuous tones in the water, a fine base for the paler tones that seem to arise from it and to which the eye is guided by river banks and mini-islets.
I yearn for a sky like that, but we're back to damp grey today . . .
Acres of texture, leading up to the landscape cameo on the horizon. And then that sky... Great use of portrait format, you use it well -there's that seamless narrative running up and down the frame.
My country solicitor was an 'interpreter' at Beamish Museum on his lunch break by the way. Relaxing in between showing visitors round the period houses.
wonderful View Dougie mad that bit more special by the vertical Format. A cracking sky to go with it.
The water looks deliciously clear and cold Dougie! Love the composition and those fluffy clouds are beautiful.
Superb composition, ticks all the boxes and more. Excellent.
I do like that cloud formation Dougie and the ripples in the water
I want to go paddling now Dougie - the water looks cool and inviting.
Beautiful scene with that gorgeous sky Dougie. Have you gone up over Ben Lawers and down to Killin? Just wondering, as was just having a read about Glen Lyon. Moira
I've driven around the road I'f that's what you mean. It's not the most exciting road, sadly.
Love the long sweeping lead of the water to the trees and mountains in the distance.
Water, blue sky, white clouds and green hills, can you wish for more?
Lovely composition with those wee islands in the water stream,
