Subtle. The clouds drifting away, the little boat with its big wake, heading towards us. Makes a really satisfying foreground interest without overpowering the magnificence of the backdrop.

That's breathtaking. Absolute knockout. Those puffs of cloud, the light on the water, the sheer sense of scale.... magical.

What a huge landscape evidenced by those small boats. Love the soft light and tones Dougie.

Beautiful rendition of the water and the sky here Dougie. The boats are a real bonus.

It's about 50 years since I was at Elgol but I don't recall Rhum looking so close, so I am guessing you used a considerable telephoto setting to capture this shot, Dougie, but I am prepared to hear that I am talking through my hat (I could mention somewhere lower down but I don't wish to offend anyone's sensibilitiesWinkWink).
A very beautiful image in my eyes, the boat so small in that big sea, and the wispy clouds against the dark mass of the island just finish things off.

I've amended the exif data Ronnie, it was 300mm.

It looks very much like what I see when I look out my window. A lovely image Dougie.

That boat is tiny here against this wonderful backdrop. Love the blue tinge too.
Question - I always thought this island's name was spelt Rhum, however everywhere I look, it is spelt Rum - any right or wrong?
