...I love the bokeh and the feel. You'll either love it or hate it, but here it is.

This is the sort of thing I take and I like but don't post because I think no-one else will like it, so it gets my vote.

I love bokeh too (in general, and here in particular)- if you're going to do it, do it in style!

Focus at its best Dougie,Strong colour and interesting background and a bold choice to show it in landscape form however I think it works.

It is a Marmite thing, isn't it?

I belong to the love it brigade, and I feel this example shows exactly how good it can be when done expertly.

i like the link here between the bokeh and entrance of the foxglove, i went out today foxglove hunting but didn't have much luck, they didn't quite stay still enough and my bokeh looks nothing like yours!

Can someone not love foxies?
Beautiful colour and detail, I like the faded sparkles of the light in the bg.

superbly taken and such a pretty colour, one of my favourite roadside flowers but this one could be in anybodies garden - who knowsWink

I'm in the "love it" camp myself Dougie...what surprised me was your choice of lens - I was think this was going to be with a 50mm f1.4 or 1.2. Thta lens has produced good detail and a cracking bokeh to match

Al, the big lens was on because I was shooting the Cruachan Dam picture and I was waiting for the little cloud to bounce along nearer to the dam, boredom had me looking around and look what I found. It's not quite sharp but I loved the BG bokeh, the title came from the lack of focus.

I like it Dougie. The out of focus background makes it.
