I have seen this many times from the A68 and been struck by its elegance. The only time I stopped nearby was in 1976, at the insistence of the Lothian and Borders Constabulary, for breaking the speed limit through Lauder in my ancient Renault 4, since when I have proceeded to and from Edinburgh with less attention to the landscape than to the speedometer

I'm so grateful that you have done it justice for me!

Regards
Bill

Great story and comment Bill, the Lothians and Borders Constabulary have scrapped some of the many cameras from the borders roads, they were over the top to my mind. I was trapped by the Welsh Polis and I feel they do dirty tricks even in comparison with the Scottish Law.

It's a pretty defiant statement of man's place in the landscape. I like the straight-on full-frontal approach. Oh, and the sheep too.

A great shot and a beautiful structure Dougie. One of those rare occasions where a man made construction is in sympathy with its surrounding.

Stunning view Dougie. Have never seen this viaduct before, very impressive structure. A wonderful sky as always. Moira

Stunning shot, great colour and detail, with a dramatic sky. Grin

A most impressive bit of railway architecture, Dougie, making quite a statement in the landscape and the same time an excellent subject for the lens as you have ably shown here.

The viaduct does sit well in the small valley. It is rather beautiful. Those clouds are incredible - you've got every last bit of texture out of them Dougie!

Typical Scottish light on the banks, nicely composed landscape with an amazing sky above.
Love it!
