Don't rub in the fact that I'm not back up there to enjoy it, Douglas! Spent a week on the Applecross Peninsula at the end of March and have been "homesick" ever since! At least I can get to see images like this to remind me of the wonders of the place. A great shot.

Cheers Ian, sorry pal we cant send it down. By the way just jumped to your site and the shot of Applecross Sunset is a contender for the best shot on the site, not just yours. I'm going back for another look expect a flurry of e-mail's.
All the very best

What you trying to do to me, Dougie. First An Teallach, now the magnificent Liathach. I so want to get back there. Smile

Beautifully composed work - you've captured the atmosphere of Torridon perfectly.

Hello Dougie, we have been away all weekend with Andy Dippie on Saturday and Rod McLoed today so a lot to catch up on my friends list...lovely shot with good clarity on the trees but the grasses seem to be green on the left but turn yellow out on the right, perhaps a little over exposure but a great shot in a beautiful location. Have a good week.
Doug.

The green is grass the yellow reeds, hence the difference.
Hope you had a fine week-end,
Dougie

Dougie

Saw this the other day, coming back now to comment - the clarity of your landscapes really does justice to your beautiful country (though when I went to Glen Torridon Liathach was shrouded in mist!).

All the best
