...I was leaving the side of the loch when the light hit the tree and I was stopped in my tracks.

They look great against the darker background and the balanced comp gives a great sense of tranquility.

They look like a family group on a day's outing in the countryside, enjoying one of those endless balmy blue-sky days for which Scotland is so famous.Grin

Great use of selective light Dougie, not just on that group of trees but also on the trees in the distance.

Dougie is your watch wrong or did you really load this At 4.39AM. I didn't know that time even existed.
it's your ability to show detail in every shadow and highlight that makes your images such a pleasure to look at...hardly ever a mediocre one and a great insight to places North of the border.

Another fine composition and more superb reflections. Breathe out too hard and you'll disturb the water, so to speak.

Lovely light on the tree, but I really love the lovely ripplely reflection. Moira

Wonderful light and fine reflection too Dougie.
And the last time I was stopped in my tracks was a couple of years ago in Perth.
I passed a pub and it had a Guinness promotion on for £1.00 a pint !!

I love the gentle ripples in the water, Dougie and the gorgeous gentle light... the late-in-the-year muted colour is wonderful..

Joyous Scottish autumnal colour with those reflections - a fine mixture Dougie!

Lovely warm light on those trees, and I also like the interesting difference between the foreground and background reflections.
