...taken in Decemeber 2009, never posted before, at 2.30pm the light was very harsh, I was kneeling in the frozen mud beside the falls trying to keep some depth to the image.
The scenery and the light are splendid and I love the cloud-topped mountain.
Perfect composition with the cloud covering the mountain and all with your great light
Excellent image Dougie.
I would say you have attained your objective with the light for sure...cracking composition too. Masterclass in getting the best from the light my friend.
Large is well worth a peek !
I think the f/g and mid ground recede very well towards the mountain and the clouds are great. An excellent photo.
Worth muddy knees, to get that foreground detail and texture - it's so tactile.
Amazing....like a film set from Narnia! It's breathtaking.
Well worth the muddy knee Excellent capture
Where is the mountain gone ?.Enveloped in the Highland spirit,a lovely picture Doug.
Nice comp Dougie, lovely bit of light and the cloud formations are fab!
shortlisted, need I say more this really is one of your very best
Super composition with great depth achieved, Dougie: the double cloud effect over the mountain top is most unusual but so effective.
This is amazing - I love the frost on the grass and the light is wonderful - and those clouds!
A shot that really stands out from the host of shots taken at this location, Dougie. Excellent.
It's beautiful Dougie, can't imagine why you've never showed this til now................Sandy
Sandy it got buried under a lot of good trips i had just after the December visit to Rannoch Moor. I managed a string of good work from the area at the join of the two Glens on this side of Rannoch Moor. I only discovered it when reinstating a hard disc which failed. Lucky me you might say, it might never have been seen again.
Thanks for your comment.:
I thought there must have been some good reason. Good you had backup. It would have been a shame had you lost it...
You have certainly succeeded with the depth. Superb light and colour, and the cloud formation is amazing.
Absolutely beautiful... Amazing clouds crowning the mountain! Hum Hum!
Wonderful shot, with an amazing 'atmosphere'.....& that exquisite side-lighting really brings out the colours & detail......1st class !
Shrouded in mystery Dougie. Ron.
That is superb Dougie..great light and comp
Fabulous Dougie, absolutely fabulous. This should get more than an RC.
Nice one Doug. For what it's worth, it looks like a Pileus formation
Worth the effort Dougie - an excellent composition with great light and atmosphere.
Absolutely stunning Dougie.
Wonderful capture/clouds, great landscape/scenery!
just love every single thing in this shot
The colour the comp and the detail and to top it off the space ship lol on the mountain
