...taken in Decemeber 2009, never posted before, at 2.30pm the light was very harsh, I was kneeling in the frozen mud beside the falls trying to keep some depth to the image.

Excellent image Dougie.

I would say you have attained your objective with the light for sure...cracking composition too. Masterclass in getting the best from the light my friend.

I think the f/g and mid ground recede very well towards the mountain and the clouds are great. An excellent photo.

Worth muddy knees, to get that foreground detail and texture - it's so tactile.

Super composition with great depth achieved, Dougie: the double cloud effect over the mountain top is most unusual but so effective.

Sandy it got buried under a lot of good trips i had just after the December visit to Rannoch Moor. I managed a string of good work from the area at the join of the two Glens on this side of Rannoch Moor. I only discovered it when reinstating a hard disc which failed. Lucky me you might say, it might never have been seen again.
Thanks for your comment.:Grin

I thought there must have been some good reason. Good you had backup. It would have been a shame had you lost it...

Cheers for the user award Dave, and all of the comments, you don;t often get somebody spending as much time commenting on as many images. Let's hope I'll be doing the same when you return from your visit to Scotland, I will be hoping to join you at some part of the trip my friend.
