My delight, too. I love them, and they seem so Scottish to me, cause they grow all over the place. Tried to plant them in my garden - but as it seems they need a peaty, boggy soil. Not clay.
I wish I was a postbox!

Had loads of those in my garden where I used to live ( not in Scotland! )....the ground wasn't peaty or boggy, it was basically just........muck! Grin

I cannot be certain but I think that is a bank of Montbretia, Dougie, and it makes a beautiful edging to this section of the village roadway.

Gorgeous montbretia Dougie, reminds me of Ireland too where they grow along with the fuschia bushes in the hedges, lovely image...
