...a very blue sky on Lochan na h'Achlaise, on Rannoch Moor, Scotland. The high pressure flattens the Lochs and turns them into mirrors.
8x images stitched PTgui.
What an amazing picture!!!! I believe this is one of the best panos I've seen in this website...nice and simple...Great composition as well!!!
It certainly is a mirror reflection ... even the rocks in the water are reflected! It's a gorgeous scene.
Aaaagh... now that is wonderful.
Great shot Dougie.
Perfect Doug, must be seen large ! Ron.
A really great image, well captured.
Fabulous panorama Doug.
Hi Doug - stunning panarama - Jude.
Large is superb, like the colours and reflections.
You're showing off with those mirror-like lochs, now, Dougie! Bet they're nothing like that when we get up there!
Dougie that is good. I'd stopped looking at panos because there have been so many bad ones here recently but this I really like. This is like one of your normal shots only bigger. Very well done.
Superb again Dougie
Like the reflection and colours in this - first class pano.
Because it's a 'roadside' shot there have been many of this fascinating wee loch but not too many as appealing.I worked on the roads there,I worked on the West Highland Way near there. This one, Dougie, really does take me back to my 'yoof'!!.It captures the tranquility of the place [when there is no traffic!!] .Gorgeous.
A superb panorama, it is also great with the ice breaking up the reflection
Beautifully serene...super stitch job too.
one of my favourite spots dougie (by the way how do we see your pics larger)
you should get a web site organised
Great shot Dougie, excellent clarity and the deep blue is superb.
Mr. Salteri this is a masterpiece! Lovely Lochan na h'Achlaise, from your favourite spot, double vision, stunning, cracking, beautiful.
LARGE IS A MUST! This picture was made for panoramic viewing!
Seems you had a great time,
I think Peter's answered the question I had in my mind when I opened this large - the contrast in the surface of the more distant water. Fascinating and very beautiful.
Absolutely staggering image, Dougie. Superlative in fact.
Smashing pano of my favourite lochan! You've caught it at its best - the reflections are superb. I managed to get a pretty decent pano of the same place on a more overcast day - always a different mood.
Superb stitching technique, Dougie. What I particularly like about this is the way you've used that featureless sky to your advantage. I reckon a sky with clouds would not have reflected as well and would not have been as effective in "sandwiching" that long and spectacular strip of landscape. A beauty.
Lovely reflective shot Doug
Another beautiful image Doug
And yet another high class image from the master.
Looks as though you also had the wall to wall sunshine that we had on Skye last week. And there was me complaining about the lack of clouds! Your pic is still brilliant without them. Love the reflections and the snow capped mountains are just beautiful.
an exceptional panorama Dougie
Superb bro, so serene.
Just stunning Dougie.
It sure is a belter Dougie. Leaps out and gives you a good smack in the face.
Many Thanks Mike, that's very kind.
That is some pano Dougie, would look awesome in print.
