...taken back in July 2010 & never shown.
***20 second exposure Lee 10 stopper + nd grad.
I'm interested in any pointers as I've only used this filter a few times.
Calm beauty Dougie, superb landscape of this most challenging location ( for a different rendition !) Ron.
Stunning image Dougie, the light is superb and the view is so deep and wide. I assume there was not a lot of movement in the clouds on this day as normally the 10 stopper takes all the fluffyness out of them - great capture.
This is beautiful well done.
some magical light there Dougie ,wait till you have the clouds moving towards or away from you ,then you can get some fantastic radiating skys
A fine capture of that iconic location Dougie, Looks like a good still day as there is little movement in the clouds, but a nice smoothing of the running water.
Only tip I have learn,t is cover the eye piece as durin the long exposure as light can get in that way.
Good exposure Dougie, it can be a bit hit and miss to get the exposure just as you want with the 10 stop. but you've caught the water before the white gets overexposed.I like the effect .
No experience of anything like this but I love the effect that the long exposure has given - this shows the smooth swell of the water, there's a sense both of movement and of substance, weight.
Beautiful image Dougie, it's not easy getting such shots, but you've done a fine job here !
Thanks Richard, the 1Ds has a shutter on the eyepiece, which I try to remember to use.
A beautiful image Dougie, the Lee has given a nice milky texture to the water.
A good one to keep back Dougie. I would have had that one up long ago.
Beautifully composed with rich tones overall.
That filter isn't in my armoury . . .
It has a limited use in my estimation Bill.
wonderful image Dougie, the light is truly beautiful and the water just right...top marks
Really like this Dougie. The water and the tones are superb
Beautiful image Dougie. Looks so inviting, makes me want to go there........Sandy
had to be yours Dougie I dont know of anybody else that finds such great landscape shots apart from Andy of course
Voted earlier but had to give up as it was taking up to a minute for a thumbnail to appear full scree, Lovely shot, Dougie: I don't recall if I have seen a shot of your's previously with this big stopper thingie. A very pleasing result though, I have to say
Beautiful, Dougie.....just beautiful !!!!!
Which way would you like me to point ?
I like the effect Dougie. The lee filter gives a strong blue cast so I either use the shade white balance or put a warming filter in photoshop and sometimes both!
As good as it gets, simply perfect
Mmmmh... Mmmmh... What a beauty!!! Fantastic detail all over the image, very, very beautiful!
Wow, I love this effect Dougie.
This is a fantastic image and I love it!
Love this douglas has all the elements and the exposure and the water just tops this for me
A real quality image
Many Thanks Dave, i'm touched my friend.:
