Calm beauty Dougie, superb landscape of this most challenging location ( for a different rendition !) Ron.

Stunning image Dougie, the light is superb and the view is so deep and wide. I assume there was not a lot of movement in the clouds on this day as normally the 10 stopper takes all the fluffyness out of them - great capture.

A fine capture of that iconic location Dougie, Looks like a good still day as there is little movement in the clouds, but a nice smoothing of the running water.
Only tip I have learn,t is cover the eye piece as durin the long exposure as light can get in that way.
Regards Richard.

Good exposure Dougie, it can be a bit hit and miss to get the exposure just as you want with the 10 stop. but you've caught the water before the white gets overexposed.I like the effect .

Phil

No experience of anything like this but I love the effect that the long exposure has given - this shows the smooth swell of the water, there's a sense both of movement and of substance, weight.

Beautiful image Dougie, it's not easy getting such shots, but you've done a fine job here !

Thanks Richard, the 1Ds has a shutter on the eyepiece, which I try to remember to use.

A beautiful image Dougie, the Lee has given a nice milky texture to the water.

Voted earlier but had to give up as it was taking up to a minute for a thumbnail to appear full scree, Lovely shot, Dougie: I don't recall if I have seen a shot of your's previously with this big stopper thingie. A very pleasing result though, I have to say

I like the effect Dougie. The lee filter gives a strong blue cast so I either use the shade white balance or put a warming filter in photoshop and sometimes both!
