Green and red is always a good combination of colour. And the Rowan Tree is more or less symbolizing Scotland.

Oh Rowan Tree...

Yes that's the story with the profusion of these berries, there's a nip in the air already and lets hope we get a good colourful Autumn this year without the fierce winds, and then some snow to dust the mountains.

A profusion of Rowan berries is supposed to mean ahard, long winter. They are yet to appear here, but I feel they are are soon to be visible. The temperature was down 6c the other morning when I arose at 0530 (0430 UK time), and yes, there was a certain nip in the air, Dougie. Autumn is in full march.

A very nice shot with which to leave us with as you depart for ....... well,we'll have to wait and see(?)
The colours in the berries are so rich this year.

just wonderful, love the bokeh effect, really focuses the eye on the red of the berries. Beautiful!
