...a trip to my favourite County for Poppies, Fife, farming land and close to the sea, seems to work for poppies in Scotland.
Poppies appear later up here as the temp is lower than England.

**met a fellow EPZ photographer at this scene Gilbo a real pleasure to meet another friend through photography.

I like your choice of a low viewpoint - it gives an emphasis on the flowers.

V1 is the one that is most about the poppies, if that makes sense. The low pov has them rising up towards the sky.

How silly of me to forget the important task you both fulfill every year. Another feather in your boa Bill, well done to you both.

Many thanks to you Ronnie I always treasure awards from fellow photographers. It was a grand day in Fife and made extra special by meeting Gilbo. One of these days maybe I'll bump into you.

Just beautiful Dougie, and such a change from your wilderness Scotland photos, but equally as well done Smile

V1 is a truly beautiful image, Dougie. Outstanding shots - all three Smile I love meeting fellow photographers. There is a fraternity and shared passion which immediately breaks down barriers - something I've only ever found its like in the mountains and hills.

I like the "letterbox" crop, makes for an interesting composition. Great colour!

I hope that's not Gilbo trampling through the Barley in the name of photography(V3). You have captured a wonderful rural scene Dougie and you can have my Saturday vote.

v1 for me Dougie. I love poppies, so difficult to choose between the versions, but it has to be the letter box.

Great images! I never tire of poppy images, especially with a glorious blue sky as you've got here. I never seem to see any poppy fields in Devon, just the odd scattering by the roadside or at the edge of fields Sad.

I've seen a lot of poppy images but these are special images Dougie and wish I was there too, not only these poppies look lovely together with wheat but there is a sea in the distant too. Nice to see a happy face in v3.
have a good weekend
