The FG rocks are lovely and really help balance the symmetrical reflected hills. The square crop works well to keep the eye roaming about and returning to the FP at the hills. Good that there were some clouds to break up the light on the ground too. This is an excellent image Smile

Twin Peaks comes to mind...
A roller-coaster skyline and its much gentler reflection.
I love the way the rocks bottom left hold everything in place.

Fantastic depth of colour, Dougie. Clarity in spades from that 5diii and lens combination, and impeccable composition and timing from the brain ans eyes behind the equipment. Timed to capture the shadows generated by the passing clouds, yet maintaining the light on the water to provide the reflection.

Dougie, stillness and reflection give you a feel of solitude, but its nice at times just stand and look at the world we live in.........a lovely image.

How do you get such clarity in the water with those rocks so sharp? Too wonderful. Ann.

Beinn na Caillich, the red lady, standing proud there, probably admiring her face in the mirrorclear water surface.
