I often wonder how clouds are allocated to some mountain-tops and not to others.
But then I am easily amused.
I feel I am getting to know the beauty of Assynt well just from studying your photographs.

A super mono Dougie - it befits this area very well! Those clouds are magnificent and I like the wee tree in the bottom right. Seriously moody as Moira says.
As far as my rainbow is concerned, it's one of the few I've seen in Assynt which has been in 'the right place'! Smile

It's not pretty or glamorous, it's powerful and real.
Marvellous shot, Dougie.

Beautiful Dougie. A lot of turbulence in that sky.

Compared to the previous posting, I can see the light has deteriorated as the cloud cover intensifies, the land lying in shadow, and possibly draining the scene of colour, so the B and W presentation now seems that more appropriate, Dougie.

The large expanse of sky works well Dougie.
Good shot.

A great sky here, too - but I love my Scotland in full colour better. Smile
