The Cuillins of Skye from above the village of Elgol. With grateful thanks for assistance in finding this path and the view across the sound from Robert Thomson a pal and fellow photographer, Cheers Robert.

Cheers Jeanie I was only brave enough to go so far, coward that I am, saw a much older guy than me struggle up the hill and felt elated that I had the sense not to.

a lovely scene, I've seen many shots of this view from Elgol don't have my own as the last time I visited Skye the weather wasn't great. Nice faithful colours reproduced in the shot

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Recognized it was the Cuillin from the thumbnail! This is a lovely summery shot - lucky you for having such weather!

I was there last month and seeing this just takes me straight back there...we were only in Elgol though, I'll have to go back and do some walking there soon!

That is a brilliant path, I walked round to Camasunary and up Sgur na Stri and back last summer, a great walk but I was completely knackered when I got back to Elgol.
Great shot gives the atmosphere of that area splendidly.

Simon.

Cheers Simon
I was quite sad that the day produced little cloud to lighten the sky and mountains. We are never happy as photographers... I suppose that is the way of the world.
