Nicely depicted. I've never managed to get a good shot of this - always too misty!

Never seen it photographed from this angle before - just hope that that cloud wasn't headed your way! We got soaked when we went up there!

Looks like a scene from Lord Of The Rings. Very atmospheric image, Dougie. Okay, you've convinced me, I'll have to pay this place a visit.

I was in your portfollio ten minutes ago looking at your work and missed this, I am in a bad way!...lovely cloud detail and the old man features well...See you around as I am off to bed as it has to be 5 am start to capture anything decent. Have a good day, will look out for you.
Doug.

Fabulous picture of the ol' man Doug SmileNice to see an alternative view rather than the much photographed one you see on all the postcards. Love the mist comming down over the rocks, have been meaning to get back up there for years....must make the effort!
Great work

I have some shots similar to this with the cloud/mist lingering on the Storr. I actually find it to be a great advantage as the Old man and his pals stand out against the mist when they can be lost otherwise by blending in with the same colour background.

I love the fact that you have bits of blue sky as well on this. The forest always gives an idea of scale and shows off the size of the Old Man.

Love the atmosphere the mist creates and the way it singles out the stacks. Nicely composed.

David.

Different to the usual shots of the Old Man Dougie, a very atmospheric capture.
