...the mountains come alive as the light flits from top to bottom of the Glen.
I look forward to my next trip here, but when?
what a beauty monochrome
Superb mono image, John.
You can say that again... ok.... superb B/W image
the mono really works so well
A true dreamlike quality here
Another fine atmospheric mono shot Dougie.
And I do remember the Daily Mail at Tanfield.
I do believe that today you will find these dreadful ''luxury apartments'' there now !!
Superb landscape, love the sky works really well in mono.
Just thought I would add Dougie, that I actually used to write some articles for my school magazine. But even 40 odd years ago, they sacked me for having a ''vivid imagination'' !!
Cheeky sods !!
Like the depth the light gives the mountains and a great sky Dougie, good mono work
Great image very dramatic feel to it which has been beautifully done by the author
That placid surface has allowed some fine reflections to he recorded, Dougie: once again the B and W presentation works so well and permits the banding effects to show off so nicely.
Different levels and layers, all in harmony.
Another gorgeous monochrome full of calm poise.
This works wonderfully well in mono but I am sure it was just as beautiful in colour. Ann.
Tremendous b/w landscape, wonderful balance of sky, land and water.
Mick nobody with a vivid imagination except MPs should have their imagination.
MPs seem to become particularly vivid when expenses are being penned.
Go to the top of the class and give the pencils out...................
magnificent is there another award on its way???
A crackin' mono landscape.
Wow - this works so well in mono Dougie. The image has really been brought to life - those clouds are magnificent.
Thanks to all for your kind words and to Danny for his personal award, they mean so much coming from fellow photographers.
I was particularly pleased with the light on the Horns of Alligin.
A small but important part of the image.
Stunning sky, like the contrast levels Dougie
Some beautiful toning here Dougie. The light on the mountain slopes is gorgeous and thats a fantastic sky.
This is beautiful Dougie, if I hadn't given my UA already it would have been yours - love it
A fabulous mono landscape Dougie. The clouds look like they are moving.......Sandy
Wonderful sky, reflections and tones Dougie.
A cracking image to remember the experience ! I'm sure you'll be back soon . Gill
Great mono image Dougie.... great light n clarity in this
A very dramatic sky and great reflection Dougie. Moira
Looked at it with a photographer's eye, I must say, it is another great monochrome image. But looked at it with my Scottish heart - I find these monochrome images very cold and misanthropic. Can't help.
Missed this one too !!!......must be an 'age' thing ??
Beautiful shot !!!.....lovely quality !!
Bheinn Alligin was another dream climb that evaded me, over on the LH side !!!!!!
I like the glancing light on the slope, the reflection, and the tones in the sky Dougie.
