I like this composition; the striking clouds balanced by the rocks in the foreground.

Wonderful composition on that beautiful beach Dougie. Love that sky too! I do hope it's like that when we're up again in September...

I feel like these clouds are just drawing me right into that sky. Beautiful big rocks to sit on and bury my feet in that sand. Beautiful scene Dougie. Moira

The beauty of those silver sands takes some beating, Dougie, but when capped by that magnificent sky you're being treated to the wonders of nature in big doses.

A somewhat beautiful composition with a rather intriguing foreground which immediately grabs your attention, and in turn whisks you off to the overhanging and so very imposing skies above.

There's no finer sight than this white sand, Dougie. So many people who are not privy to these treasures that are found in west and north Scotland. Who would believe that the world's best beaches are here.
A long time since I was on Uibhist a Deas, but never forgotten.

Total emptiness, plus that sky.
I have the feeling that something huge is lurking under the sand.

Exactly Moira the whole point of the image. You bring an old man great pleasure with comment like that.

The light could have been better to add drama.

If Dougie's about you can rest assured that something big is lurking...he isn't call Big "Dug frae Glasgae" for nothing.

A Tourist Board winner.
