...a small tribute to the weather we've been having across the country, a dive head first into something I'm new at, all help will be delightfully received.

Following a few others on site with a kitchen sink studio.

They do indeed Ron, the lovely aroma is wafting through my flat, from the studio, I wish Joceline had been here too.

A lovely rose, Dougie, though I was under the impression that all roses north of a wiggly line from Gretna to Berwick were supposed to be red Wink
My occasional forays into careful flower photography didn't last long and these days I don't feel comfy commenting on others' efforts for justified fear of being considered a Right Nana. But I do like the central texture, the line of raindrops and the soloist in the middle!

Bill

Don't think you need any help here, Dougie.......a very fine kitchen sink studio shot of the rose with it's charge of rain drops. If you are starting out on indoor shots, I'll just need to go in search of a few landscapesWinkWink

Beautiful!
I expect the photo mags will pick up on the "kitchen sink" technique in due course.

This is excellent Dougie - you have some good detail on the petals. The water droplets are lovely. I think you can count this as a success. Look forward to seeing more.

Now, that's a surprise! Masterfully taken image, all those veins in the petals and the droplets are perfect.
