I'm not at all sure how this one will go down as it is soooo bold. I took it yesterday in my garden. However, here goes; if you don't like it, please say so!! I won't mind at all and it certainly won't be the end of the world! I was just trying something different.
It is the most beautiful morning here - hot, sunny and sultry; we had breakfast in the garden!
Thanks for looking and thanks for your time.
Ann

I like it. Something different to see the stamen as shadows. Very good!

Different, and very clever observation. I've often enjoyed the tiny, precise shadows cast by stamens in flower pictures, this gives them pride of place!

The boldness really makes the concept, Ann, helped in no small measure by your use of a 'stretched' format.

It's worth more than a comment so here's my award for the week Ann, well done.

Well seen. and composed. Love the colours and the riot of stamens.
It's been super in our garden today too. We'd better make the most of it.

Ann this is a lovely image, well composed and the shadows are just perfect. The depth of field is pretty clever to with the focus fading in just the right place...

Excellent shot: good to try something different, but you have to spot the opportunity in the first place, then capitalise on that, and you have done both with expertise. I too like the elegant simplicity here, the cast shadows on the petal so well displayed.
Ronnie.
