- - - for a scrap.
One juvenile bald eagle defends its meal from another.
wow stunning capture, really very good indeed
Fantastic action shot, half of me says it would have been better if you could have got all of the wings in. The other half says no, it is moer dramatic as it is. Either way it is well worth a click.
Excellent capture. The detail and catchlighs are excellent.
Super capture. sylvia
great action shot...well done.
Great nature/action shot, plenty sharp detail yet b/g nicely out of focus.

Thank you for the comment. I too would have liked to have seen how this turned out if I'd got all the wings in the frame. This bit of action happened too fast for me to think off pulling back the lens. The wingspan on these birds is so great that with their wings fully extended you lose the sense of expression in the body and head unless being able to view super large. I have lots of shots of wings, tails and tallons that fill the frame for the fault of being too close.
A brilliant action shot. JNC
Brilliant shot - how lucky you are to see them in the wild
You have grabbed some great detail with this shot, well done.
Great capture. Impressive.
Very well captured.
Blimey - you wouldn't want to get in the middle of that! Impressive capture.
Superbly captured action. Nature at the sharp end Melanie. Ron.
A war dance avian style, great work Mel, once again you produce a perfectly unique image from a visit to a country across the World. Superb quality and great dramatic action, capturing the moment to perfection.
great action shot
Great detail and timing Melanie.
WOW, great detail , great capture.
wow, what a cracker
excellent captured. well done
An every day experience for the birds in question, converted into a moment of almost theatrical drama with your exceptional photographic skills.
Great capture Melanie.Wouldn't like to get between those two.
Lovely action shot. Well caught.
Always a pleasure viewing your wildlife shots, Melanie. I love the detail and action you have captured in this shot.
Pulling back would have denied us the detail in claws and eyes and these elements are what this shot is about. Spot on exposure.
Melanie,it has all been said,I cannot add moor.
better than wonderful
A very impressive shot IMO. I like the close-up feel to this as it focusses attention on their struggle for an advantage in life.
An excellent action shot.
These are so enjoyable to see. Fantastic.
