A grab shot of Loch Lomond taken on Thursday afternoon at the height of the storm that swept over Scotland.

The loch resembled a sea with spindrift being blown over it. I struggled to keep on my feet as I jumped out from cover to take this.

Thanks,

Paul

Fantastic weather capture. The tree tells a whole story.
Full marks for bravery, too.

Incredibly powerful. That tree makes this all the more dramatic.

Over the sea to Skye seems more appropriate Paul, what a storm to turn a Loch into this maelstrom of water and spray, that wee tree must have a better hold on the land than looks when the water is quieter than now. Deserves my award I reckon.

Great capture, however I find the tree too central but then again, considering the weather condition the image is fantastic. Monochrome effect has worked very well and added to the drama?

A fine shot indeed and brave (or is that foolhardy) of you to go out and take it. I was there in late autumn sunshine just a few weeks ago and the contrast is amazing.

The whole image looks positively Japanese . Mount Fuji, curly waves, willow pattern tree !
Gets my award also.
