The filter has the effect of sharpening the peak by softening everything that moves round it, clouds and water in both real and reflected forms. Extraordinary indeed.

Very atmospheric Dougie - love Moira's comment. They're like monsters in the tide! I also liked your definition of "chimping" - never heard that before and love it! I'm sure it will become common parlance - probably by my husband when he's had enough! Sad

Excellent comp and reflections Dougie, big stopper works well adding real atmosphere and that little bit of light is the finishing touch!

Definately extremely moody and mystical effect the Big Stopper has given this, Dougie. Full of dark atmosphere.

I'm not sure if I like the effect of the long exposure on the water - but the clouds and the mountains are beautiful.
