This is a lovely composition and I like the movement in the background! It feels a little over-sharpened, possibly from the compression?

It's worth trying to get yourself parallel to the plane of the wings when taking from the side like this, that way you get the whole wing in focus... also worth trying to find individuals that are a little less worn, especially these Small Heaths as they don't have much colour to show off...

This might be more effective in Sepia or B&W?
