Taken at St Marys Asylumn Stannington, the snow had obviously melted and drained into the building, the light shining through the windows made the water act like a mirror.

A second visit to the old asylumn, as we`d heard theres probably gonna be building work starting on the site soon and we wanted to see some of the areas we`d missed previously, all in all it was another great day!

As always thanks for previous comments and votes, all comments appriciated good or bad.

Liking this a lot Sean. Not sure if you've cropped this. I wonder whether you had anymore of this image? 1 cm higher at the top and 1cm off the bottom might also look good?

Thanks all for the kind comments.
Yes Tony64 I seam to of made a beginners mistake and been too liberal with the crop tool. My concentration was on getting rid of a door on the left and I completly ignored the top of the photo! DOH!
There isnt much extra there but it would give me a full final window (top right) and a crop from the bottom would work well too.
If I get the time I will add this version up.
Thank you for your advice as always its all appriciated good or bad.

Excellent shot. Love the reflections.

Although normally I'd say there's too much colour for a colour pop shot, I really like V2. It works well for me.

Like the treatment in V1, but the subject matter is supremely suited to the monochrome of V3. Have been here to photograph conkers in the autumn in the grounds of the asylum, but didnt venture into the building, wish I had done so now.
