Yesterday evening, spent in the fine company of Kevin (TheWaiter) Goodchild and Chris (Lobsterboy) Shepherd. Shame about the cloud and Chris's cough, which helped to clear the Thames of fish all the way from Richmond to Tilbury Dock.

This was taken shortly before Chris, Kevin and the cloud arrived. It's a pity about the tarpaulin, the dubious stain at the foot of the steps, and the fact that this PoV is a bit of a cliche; but the light made it irresistible.

Thanks, Chris and Kevin, for a great evening.

Fascinating for a foreigner as me Smile If making any changes next time it would be to consider what people should be in the frame and what is their stories.

Thank you, John and Ellie, for your kind comments.

Normally I like not to have people in my photographs, Ellie, and so it is very difficult for me to take photographs with people in them!

I like everything about this, the composition is superb, like the inclusion of the bridge, the people walking out of shot and the person walking in/down the steps - excellent photography!

This is a very impressive shot. It has the kind of pro stock photo look. The people do make the shot seem more powerful.

I think it would require a little cloning out of tarpaulins and dog stains beforehand, though, Martin. Smile
