Delicious! Super detail.
Wonderful detail so well captured would like to see a mono of this too thanks for sharing Colin
Hi Sarah, this is lovely, and it just shouts out the beach the sea the shore. It is full of amazing texture and the tones which are so similar the natural and the man made almost become one. I really love this and it is going on my favourite list, excellent work
Like the details and textures in this one Sarah - good work.
Thanks very much everyone, I really do appreciate your comments!
Linda - thank you so much for your user award, that means a lot, am chuffed to bits
great detail , well caught
A superb beach shot, amazing detail.
great comp cracking detail and colour a beauty
LOve the textures
Either the remains of some green paint, or traces of copper in the metal? Curious.
I love the angle you've taken this, it gives nice lingering diagonal lines. I think I'd prefer it less bright though, and I suspect that reducing brightness would give greater depth, substance.
Moira, I was just thinking myself that perhaps it was a bit too bright, might have another play with it later
My processing isn't very sophisticated, but my reflex reaction when I've taken a rust shot is to reduce Brightness usually by around 5-7%, (and possibly boost Contrast a tad afterwards), it can make a terrific difference. And very discreet use of the Burn tool can bring forward foreground textures. Wish this was up for Mods!
Like the therr R's Well seen.
Thanks Moira for the advice, have just done a mod and I do think it looks better - reduced the brightness by nearly 20% though
Barbaraj - thank you too!
the colour and textures all work together really well, youve bought out some wonderful detail. v2 for me. congrats on linda's award.lesley
another great "in close" kind of abstract shot, i rather like these
Yep, much prefer V2, it has more substance. Thanks for adding it.
I agree V2 Great work
Tremendous detail in here Sarah.
Well spotted Sarah, great colours and textures.
Read the title and just had to look. Wasnt disapointed it's so full of detail, well done, great shot.
There's so much going on here. This is well seen - colour, texture, comp - all so rich. V2 has more impact I think. Anoher great shot Sarah
V2 for me Sarah, a little easier on the eye, and shows more depth of detail. Nice shot.
A super image and I do like the result of v2.
The bright was nearly right, maybe somewhere between if you're doing a print.
I especially like v2 sarah, excellent detail capture
Yes, there's certainly some fine texture and tones there, Sarah. Think V2's better, as it's losing some detail in the highlights at the centre top in V1.
Lovely abstract, and V2 much better detail
Quote: V2 for me Sarah, a little easier on the eye, and shows more depth of detail. Nice shot.
V2 for me too, for the same reasons as John. Great title
