Welcome to the front bar at the Green Dragon outside Hawes. This is the Pub through which Hardraw Force is accessed. Just couldn’t resist the look of the place with light pouring in from outside and an open fire as the finishing touch.

Given that the thumbnail is so dark, thanks for getting this far. I have to say I’m really pleased by how it’s turned out and hope it might appeal to you too. As always though, I shall be happy to receive any comments and critique, should you choose to leave any.

Looks very good Nick, was thinking about doing this too - back on the NW meet, but there were too many people around at the time.

I think it looks great Nick, wonderful detail, seen even better in the large version. I particularly like the glow from the light on the table and the rays coming in from the window - well done!

What a cracking shot - I am a great fan of your work - this is on my list of places to visit - Jude.

PS - how to you do this kind of processing if it is not a secret?

Thank you all.

Thanks Jude, that's very kind of you indeed to say so. This is the first time I've been to this location but I would say it's well worth a visit. Just make sure there has been some rainfall previously as the waterfall apparently slows to a trickle else.

There is nothing I don't love about this, the photo is unbeatable...and the pub couldn't be named better by God himself, lol that and the fact I have studied Hawes and written about it in an exam makes this all the more appealing!

Awesome work.
Alex.
