This is a shot from my last trip to Paris back at the end of March.

This is the Institut de France on the west bank of the Seine, just a short walk from the Louvre.

Details of the shot: 1/50s @ f13 (ISO400)

Then the processing;

Like all my shots, straight into Adobe Lightroom, and cropped/straightened as required. Any dust spots are removed at this point. Then for this shot, into PhotomatixPro 3 to tone map a single RAW image. Then into Photoshop for some final tweaks, resize, sharpen and then save for web.

Comments & critique welcome.

Cheers,

Gary

Wow, the detail in the large version is insane. Excellent work.

crackin` image!... well done!

Wow.... The big version is an absolute MUST see!

Well thanks folks, and a HC too. Brilliant…

Took my inspiration for this shot from some of my favourites on here. So if the composition and processing looks familiar, you know why.

I also had hours of fun playing with Photomatix to get this result, but well worth the effort.

Also the new, calibrated, monitors helped too.

All good – thanks again.
