RAW ISO 100

Taken on the 18th February 2008 @ 07:25am, shortly after sunrise.

Yes it’s another Lindisfarne Castle. Alison thinks I don’t shoot enough landscape shots in portrait mode, so Alison this one’s for you, hope you’re feeling better today.

To take this shot, I had my tripod precariously balance with one leg on the fence rail and the other two on the small wall to the left of it.

Again five exposures combined and tone mapped in Photomatix and then tweaked in Photoshop.

Please view large, if you have the time

Did they earth move for you last night. It did here.

Thanks for looking.

Alan.

That's excellent Alan! Portrait mode looks good here with the lead-in fence. Really like the warmth of the light on that frosted glass - love this one and no the earth didn't move in the South East!

Thanks everyone.

The epicentre for the quake was only a few miles from here, in Market Rasen, apparently it did £15 worth of damage! Wink

Lovely composition and beautiful light
Andrew

I am not usually a fan of HDR but this has very little residue of it and quite easily passes for the real thing. Great image, I don't even notice the center horizon at first

If ever an image was a persuasive argument for the use of HDR then this delicious beauty is it. What an absolute joy.
