Every December Sky - another Beth Nielsen Chapman song that I find quite beautiful!

Every December sky
Must lose its faith in leaves
And dream of the spring inside the trees.
How heavy the empty heart,
How light the heart that's full.
Sometimes I have to trust what I can't know

And every leaf of fire lets go,
Melting in the arms of earth and snow.

The hint of the reflection in the frozen water, the stones on the ice and the detail in the castle stones all add up to a fabulous image.

A gorgeous capture, Sarah, of this truly delightful scene. Nice reflections, and the patches in the ice add foreground interest - and emphasize how cold it looks!

a mono might look effective here and perhaps a sweeping brush on the foreground Smile You must have a million different angles on here by now and each one has it's own interest, possibly a better reflection with the ice too...?

An excellent view of your favourite location, I agree with Caleb I reckon a mono would look good and give this image a really cold feel

You capture the crisp light and reflections on the frozen moat perfectly Sarah. As with all your photos of Leeds Castle, this has real atmosphere and beauty.
