I took this shot while out and about looking for something different to capture.
In this shot i've tried to capture the feel of the surrounding fallen log which the fungi is growing on as well as the smooth and wet fungi detail.

I like this kind of shot, good natural history record in many ways. However, the flash is very obvious and tthe resulting colours look a bit over saturated. Think what things actually looked like, are they too strong? You could try desaturating a little to reduce the intensity. Well seen and composed.
