first attempt at foamy/soft/smokey water
The exposure is quite nice but you could have cloned out the dust spots in the bottom of the image. - gary
Thankyou for your kind comments Kathryn on my Glistening Water image.
Yours is not bad at all for a first attempt, this king of photography is not easy. However as gary says I would have cloned out those dust spots then blow out inside your camera. I think I would have reduced the exposure as the top of the waterfall is blown out, I might even have cropped it to just the bottom 2/3ds, that's where the power of the water is shown. Experiment with different camera settings & take lots more flowing water shots.
Very good first attempt, you've caught the movement well
wonderfull image , well done .
Brilliant for a first attempt!
(I bought ND filters a week or so back, been out several times practicing moving/fluffy water shots, and not achieved anything as good as this. Yet.)
Cheers -- Steve.
Good first attempt. I have only attempted one or two shots like this myself but I always end up deleting them. My pic that you commented on I was really pleased with and I took it using F20, about 5 secs I think. It was all trial and error.
Well done Kathryn.
This is just truely beautiful, the water reminds me of silk for some reason!
I just adore it, it's absolutely stunning.
