50's Girl

50's GirlIt is a good portrait but just feel it needs a hairlight or background spot to make the image pop for me. I like the crop and off centre so well done

Little Miss Muffet

Little Miss Muffetfirstly well done for trying this - very difficult to do self portraits never mind juming up onto a gate too!! I would have prefered a better pose perhaps something more natural like leaning against a gate post etc. Regarding the light - yes you can see the flasg was used and the overal exposure looks fine - I would have underexposed the ambient slightly though perhaps by 1- 1.5 stops, zoomed the flash slightly to create a vignette and the flash would expose to give a more dynamic image, hope this helps abit?

Emma Lea

Emma LeaThat works a treat Rob, nothing wrong with a bit of grain. I like it as is but you could also have used the reflector to bounce some light back onto Emma Leas legs. What ISO were you at?
well done

Rush

RushNice crop and light although just to improve a tad more would be a hairlight or a spot on the background to improve the graduation. Top shot though welldone

If you go down to the woods todaymuch better off cam - what you could try next time too put light almost 45 degrees to model and -1>-2 the exp on the background but get the model to look off towards the light - would really give a dramatic light - but would show shadows!!! I like shadows though.
This works well here though

Jazz singer 6

Jazz singer 6I like the mood Martin - perhaps it would really pop in black n white? I like that you have some light spill on the background but the blue too strong - can you do a mono variant?
