Anybody wondering why I called him Ebeneezer Goode? Well, it's because these birds are "very much maligned and misunderstood" (fans of The Shamen will know what I'm on about).
Admittedly he had just chased away the juvenile Cape Sparrow I was photographing, but that's nothing unusual, all our garden birds chase each other.
The Indian Myna has a bad reputation here in South Africa, but it's a beautiful bird all the same.
