The breeding male Pin Tailed Whydah is known to be aggressive towards other birds at the food source but even though this one was still in his non-breeding winter plumage, he decided to get into practice by swooping down on an unsuspecting Southern Red Bishop. I caught him in mid-swoop while his wings were folded, creating the impression he's hanging in mid-air.
