hi all,
just before Christmas I bought myself (self-present?) a new lens, so when my Lady went out for the last minute shopping, I took the occasion to test it. My son did not bring with him any i-something to pass the time (shopping can kill a man).
this was taken from the hip, through a mirror.
Isn't beautiful how a mirror can put in focus different planes?
enjoy your 2013 and thanks for looking
francesco
a bit late, but a special thank you to Nonur for his UA on my last upload. Much appreciated

Love the inclusion of the glasses - really is the cherry on the top ![]()

Happy New Year Francesco ![]()

Just enough face, but composed for the two hands - which are both so eloquent. From the reflection, that lower hand is about to droop onto the floor, and then it's a long way back up again...
I agree about reflections. They are a natural filter, they create another reality at one remove from ours.

Superb
The hands say it all - the attitude of a slighly bored teenager, holding up his head with one hand and letting the other drop - body language speaks volumes. Inclusion of the mirror on the right hand is perfection.

Such a strong composition, the hand and glasses are perfect.

Another intriguing image full of beautiful detail. Excellent stuff.
Great start with your new toy, The two planes make for a really interesting shot, and the crop on the glasses is superb
(I love my little EF 50mm, its such a great lens, especially indoors in low light. I live in a dark cottage and it means I can shoot the family without flash.)
A young man left alone with his thoughts: bravo!
His hands tell a tale all of their own . . .
I have altered the last sentence three times as others had borrowed my thoughts in advance ![]()
A fine photograph, Francesco. No i-somethings for me, either!
Enjoy your new toy - and Happy New Year!
Regards
Bill
