This poor man seemed oblivious to the shower we had just had and the heavens that were about to open. Then again, maybe that was the least of his worries. I felt a bit guilty taking this shot and have never taken candid shots of others before, let alone without asking. I took it very quickly (as you can tell) and moved on. Initially I was disappointed with the taxi in the background but it almost seems fitting to show the contrast between him going nowhere right now and life whizzing passed without him even noticing. I'm now in the warm at home and probably about to have a little G&T soon... I wonder where he is or what he's doing right now.

Nice composition considering it was rushed. B&W sets it off.
Agree with Jeff - 2 suitcases are better than none!
And don't feel guilty - photography is about telling it how it is.

Good shot and works well in mono. What impresses me most is your commentary..caring about the subject will often result in sensitive photography. I tried this with a sleeping tramp in Edinburgh. A gruff voice from under a pile of newspapers told me where I could stick my effing camera! Sometimes you walk away! Cheers

Like the world whizzing by in this shot, well seen and superbly taken.

Thanks for all the comments everyone, think I'll be picking my camera up again today. This was the first time I'd used it in months. Will be posting some of my other shots taken the same day during the week. Cheers and thanks again for looking.

Like this alot... mono treatment works well with this reportage style and I do like the juxtaposition between the sleeping man and the car passing by. Well done.
