Bristlecone

Taken in summer of 2009. These trees are one of the oldest living organisms on the planet, there is one in the USA that is over 4,700 years old. They do seem to be able to hang in there even with exposed roots and extremes of weather. Travelling so no tripod and just the one camera and lens.
