I saw this vase at the Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art (in Elmhurst Illinois). It was carved from one block of jadeite. It is about 12 inches in diameter and I don't know if it is Ming or Qing dynasty but somewhere between 1368 to 1912. I am always amazed at the intricacy of these items, especially how they can carve rings (or often chains) from one block of stone.
